2008, Bouquet è una poltrona imbottita
di elegante concezione, un tributo
alla bellezza che sfiora la dimensione
spirituale nella semplicità del gesto
ripetuto. Il vestito, formato da quadrati
di tessuto piegati manualmente e cuciti
uno ad uno con sapiente cura e infinita
pazienza, avvolge la scocca di seduta
fino a ricoprirla interamente di soffici
petali. Allegoria del sogno, raffinata
trasposizione poetica celebrata nella
materialità insita nell’oggetto industriale,
la poltroncina rende felice colui che
vi si siede, così come un bouquet di fiori
gratifica chi lo riceve.
Designed by Tokujin Yoshioka in
2008, Bouquet is a padded armchair
with an elegant concept, a tribute
to the almost spiritual beauty which lies
in the simplicity of a repeated gesture.
The coating, formed from squares of
fabric which are hand folded and sewn
one by one by skilled hands and infinite
patience, envelops the shell until all
the interior is covered in soft petals.
Allegory of dreams, sophisticated poetic
transformation celebrated in an object
of industrial design, the chair makes
everyone who sits in it happy, like the gift
of a bouquet of flowers.
