Essendo un pittore, molto spesso mi sono ri-
trovato nella condizione di trasportare dipinti
a mano. […] È molto scomodo, soprattutto
se sono dipinti grandi. Si rischia di andare
contro a qualche muro o di investire qualcuno,
si ha la visuale dimezzata... [...] In alcuni casi
in cui il vento è molto forte, se il dipinto fosse
abbastanza grande si creerebbe un effetto vela
che spinge al volo. Ecco la mia soluzione: sfrut-
tare questo vento per poter trasportare l’opera
e anche me stesso nel luogo desiderato, così
da risparmiare i soldi per il treno o per chissà
quale altra cosa. Ho deciso di progettare delle
tele che si ispirano ai deltaplani, così quando
arriverà il vento forte lo seguirò e prenderò il
volo da Venezia a New York. Le tele volanti
verranno rese rigide impiegando diversi ma-
teriali. […] I modelli potranno essere diversi,
nelle forme, colori e dimensioni. Si potrebbero
anche adattare ai mobili Moroso, in base ad
una ricerca sulle sfumature dei loro toni di
colore e cercando di seguirne le silhouette. /
Being a painter, I have very often found myself
having to carry paintings by hand. [...] It is
very uncomfortable, especially if they are large
paintings. You are likely to bump against some
wall or encounter someone; the visual is di-
minished ... [...] In some cases where the wind
is very strong, if the painting is large enough
it will create a sail effect that will cause you
to fly away. Here is my solution: take advantage
of this wind to carry the work and even myself
to the desired place, and thus save money for
the train or who knows what else. I decided
to design the paintings as if inspired by hang
gliders, so when the strong wind arrives I will
follow it and take a flight from Venice to New
York. The flying canvases will be made rigid
by employing different materials. [...] The mo-
dels could be different in their shapes, colors,
and sizes. They could also be adapted to the
Moroso furniture, basing the research on the
nuances of their color tones and trying to fol-
low their silhouettes.
