La riflessione parte dal manifesto distribuito
nel 2008 dalla Lega Nord come parte inte-
grante della campagna politica sulla ‘lotta al-
l’immigrazione’: un’illustrazione rappresen-
tante un nativo americano e lo slogan: “Loro
hanno subito l’immigrazione, ora vivono nelle
riserve”. Successivamente all’elezione di Do-
nald Trump, Matteo Salvini pubblica sul pro-
prio profilo Facebook un ritratto di sé stesso
che indossa una t-shirt pro-Trump; alle sua
spalle compare il manifesto di cui sopra. [...]
Per il Premio Moroso 2017 la proposta è di
trasferire il manifesto originale su un tappeto
di grandi dimensioni, da realizzare attraverso
l’utilizzo di un telaio. L’opera sfrutta il know–
how aziendale e verrà realizzata dagli artisti
in collaborazione con l’azienda; se necessario
verranno implementate tecniche artigianali
e maestranze, anche nord–italiane, e verranno
apportate modifiche su colori e layout per as-
secondare le possibilità realizzative.

tion of a Native American and the slogan:
“They allowed immigration, now they live on
reservations.” After the election of Donald
Trump, Matteo Salvini published on his Face-
book profile a portrait of himself wearing a
pro-Trump t-shirt; over his shoulders appears
the above poster. [...] For the 2017 Moroso
Award, the proposal is to transfer this original
poster onto a large carpet, using a loom. The
work will take advantage of the company's
know-how and will be made by the artists in
collaboration with the company; if necessary
craft and hand work will be implemented, also
Northern Italian techniques, and changes will
be made in color and layout to explore con-
structive possibilities.
