Nel progetto Mangiafuoco, un semplice
piatto di rame acquista uno splendore imprevisto
una volta cotto ad alte temperature, assumendo
tonalità sorprendenti e mantenendo intatta la
natura del metallo. Nei due tavolini la grande
superficie smaltata gioca sul passaggio di cromie
differenti e imprevedibili, nate dall’accostamento
e dalla sovrapposizione di polveri vetrose e dal
rigoroso rispetto dei tempi di cottura. Il risultato
sono degli oggetti unici, imperfetti e, per questo,
così seducenti, profondi ed emozionanti.
In the Mangiafuoco project, a simple
copper plate acquires an unexpected splendor
once fired at high temperatures, taking on
surprising hues while keeping the nature of the
metal intact. In the two small tables, the large
enameled surface plays on the passage of
different and unpredictable colors, born from the
juxtaposition and superimposition of glassy
powders and the strict observance of firing times.
The result is unique, imperfect objects and, for
this reason, so seductive, profound and exciting.
