GHOST
In the background is a wall defined by Blade Edge columns.
The Blade Edge door is a 1 cm thick aluminum honeycomb panel, here in Bronze Dust
metal.
The Ghost opening conceals additional workspace: the kitchen and the wall back panel are
made of the same Pietra Santafiora as the island.
The overhead cabinets in Brown Oak feature integrated lighting
that enhances the entire wall texture.
The combination of stone and wood characterizes the entire space, conveying a sense of
harmonious balance. To the left of the Ghost is a column enclosing the appliances inside.
The recessed door has a new technology in the push closing mechanism.
The full-height Blade Edge bookcase echoes the kitchen finishes with Santafiora stone
paneling, Brown Oak verticals, and Blade Edge metal shelves in Bronze Dust with a Brown
Oak edge .
The design is integrated into the architectural volumes: the floor-to-ceiling columns in
Bronze Dust and the Blade Edge bookcase define an enveloping environment, where light
plays a fundamental role in emphasizing the dynamism of the composition and the textures
of the materials.
A full-height Bilico (pivot) door leads to another room.
The ‘Bilico’ system allows for the design of compartment closures, creating a passage zone
between rooms, hiding the passage while
maintaining aesthetic continuity with adjacent doors.
On the right side of the Blade Lab island, we see a showcase of extra-clear glass, inside of
which we have recreated a landscape, a natural ecosystem of papyrus, bamboo, and palm
plants.
