Una casa di ispirazione giapponese a River Oaks,
Texas, progettata per ottenere una connessione spa-
ziale tra interni ed esterni attraverso una selezione at-
tenta dei materiali utilizzati.
La casa è composta da due volumi sovrapposti,
uno in legno e uno in cemento, che al loro interno cela-
no ambienti sofisticati e intimi. La sala da pranzo affac-
cia sul verde del giardino ed è divisa dal soggiorno gra-
zie ad una parete verticale. Qui le linee essenziali di
Tense Material si fondono in armonia con lo stile e il
contesto circostante. La scelta del legno rovere natu-
rale conferisce a questo spazio un’atmosfera avvol-
gente e accogliente, contribuendo a creare un am-
biente caldo e intimo.

A Japanese-inspired home in River Oaks, Texas,
designed to achieve a spatial connection between
indoors and out through careful selection of materials.
The house comprises two superimposed
volumes, one in wood and the other in concrete, which
hide sophisticated intimate spaces inside.
The dining room overlooks the vegetation of the
garden and is separated from the living room by a
vertical wall. Here the essential lines of Tense Material
blend harmoniously with the style and surrounding
context. The choice of natural oak wood lends this
space a cosy welcoming atmosphere, helping to
create a warm intimate feel.
