Paris Dimmer
3. MPS025N & MPS025B - LIGHTING DIMMER FOR RESISTIVE AND INDUCTIVE LOADS
This dimmer is a command with integrated touch sensor. It is equiped with a combined technology (TRIAC + IGBT) output.
It can be operated localy or from several other locations through NO push-buttons. Its LED signal facilitates its operation
in darkness.
3.1. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
• Protection degree: IP40
• 3 terminals Plate with access on the posterior side
• Voltage: 230 Vca 50 Hz
• Tolerated movement: ± 10%
• Absorption: 23,5 mA à 230 Vca (1,3 W)
• Touch sensor zone: full front face of device (see fig. 1 zone A1)
• Coupling with 2 wires (in series with commanded load)
• Static output with combined technology TRIAC + IGBT
• Type of load can be commanded on alternating current:
- incandescent lights and halogens: 40-400 W
- ferromagnetic transformers for low voltage halogens: 40-400 VA
- inductive electronic transformers type OSRAM
HALOTRONIC HTM 70/230-240, HTM 105/230-240, HTM 150/230-240 (*): 40-300 VA
(*) do not use more than 4 transformers on each line
• Switching on, dimming and switching off:
- slightly touching the face of the device
- from several other locations through NO push-buttons
N.B.: the line of remote commanding push-buttons is allowed to a maximum lenght of 100 meters with a 1.5 mm conductor.
For larger distances use an auxiliary relay.
• Soft start and soft end help the lamp to last. Soft start decreases the filament's stress at cold start and protect people
from dazzle.
• Shortcut program to maximum light intensity
• Flash memory: Light intensity is memorized after turned of (unless black out)
• Front LED (L1) helps to locate within dark environment: when one's hand get closer, the LED light intensity increases
3.2. OPERATING
Lightly touching the plate switches the light on, the next touch switches off. Leaving a finger in contact operates the dimming
of light intensity, following a cycle function: light increases to reach its maximum intensity and then stops for 1 second before
starting its decrease. To change the way of variation, stop the contact with the plate and start again.
With light off, keeping contact with the plate for around 0,3÷2 seconds will have the lamp reach its maximal intensity.
