BALL - The Magic of Blown Glass
The glass diffuser of the BALL collection is blown by expert glass masters.
Each glass is unique; each glass is 100% Made in Italy.
The artisan working process allows to modify technique and finish.
The wall sconce version creates a different light effect for each technique.
RIGADIN
Thin ribbing obtained by blowing a glass object inside an open die, generally in bronze, which has grooves with a triangular cross-section.
RIGADIN RITORTO
The piece thus becomes ribbed and can also be twisted inside the mold to produce rigadin ritorto(swirl or twisted ribbing).
BALLOTON
Technique used to obtain a particular optical effect. It is based on the use of a metal die, with the inner walls containing small square based pyramidal “spikes” which, when the glass is blown, result in a cross-relief pattern.
BULLICANTE
By casing a gather (péa) stamped in this way in a layer (coperta) of glass, an effect is obtained whereby hundreds of minute air bubbles are trapped between two layers of glass.
BALL PL – Private house
The ceiling version of the BALL collection illuminates elegantly this classical villa. The ceiling canopies of the architecture fits perfect with the shape and size of the lamp. The lighting effect of the Balloton* glass diffuser decorates the entire ceiling.
