Varenne
Library
The Varenne Library is named after the first
showroom opened by Christian Liaigre in Paris,
1982 at 61 Rue de Varenne. Installed shortly
after its opening, the library was very much a
part of the distinct pure, no-frills, effortless chic
aesthetics of the showroom. Featuring the same
lines and finishes as the original model, this
bespoke library has been incorporated into the
Decoration and Styling offering. Designed and
manufactured as a piece of furniture in Liaigre’s
French workshops, as the Mirabeau Wardrobe,
the library consists of several assembled
modules that hang on the wall for maximum
support. Its original finish, a gray brushed oak,
is featured on the outside as well as the inside
of each drawer.
