rapporto specifico tra le parti e l’intero. Il rapporto tra la parte maggiore
e l’intero (1,6180339887… ) è detto numero aureo, costante di Fidia o
proporzione divina.

The standard for defining these has been identified
since the beginning of ancient times in the Golden
Ratio. This geometric proportion identifies a specific
ratio between the parts and the whole. The ratio of the
largest part to the whole (1.6180339887... ) is called the
golden number, the constant of Phidias or the divine
proportion.
