The Fernandine walls, built in medieval times
are a historic landmark of Porto, a city located
in the north of Portugal. Their battlements still
frame the city’s charm along the Douro River.
Inspired by these fortifications, the Fernandine
family features a high outer structure that
echoes the strength of a protective wall. Brass
cutouts reinterpret the battlements, adding
distinct character. While the exterior evokes
solidity, the interior reveals a welcoming
comfort, just like the city that inspired it.
