The Niemeyer armchair is named after the Brazilian Architect Oscar Niemeyer whose Architecture was spread like
sculptural poetry in the History of humankind. The rounded lines of the armchair are influenced by the remarkable 'Casa
das Canoas' designed by Niemeyer in 1951.
Looking on the human scale point of view, the house glass facade disappears within the tropical forest, however, from an
aerial view, the sculpted concrete flat roof floating on pillars stands out in the landscape. The flat roof offers its flowing
forms to the round velvet seat while the pillars share their black tone with the darkened oak legs.
In detail, the armchair is focused on the roof indented front curve framing a large granite boulder. It is precisely that
backward curved movement that we discover in the seams of the meticulous upholstered work that flows all around the
arms of the armchair.
