Bertjan Pot nasce nel 1975 a Nieuwleusem,
in Olanda, e fonda nel 2003 il suo studio con sede
a Schiedam. Il suo lavoro si concentra per la maggior
parte sulla creazione di mobili e complementi di arredo.
La ricerca sui materiali, sulle tecnologie e sulle trame
rappresenta quasi sempre il punto di partenza per ogni
suo progetto. Il risultato di questo approccio è un
insieme di prodotti per interni che mostrano un fascino
per tecniche, strutture, motivi e colori. I suoi lavori
sono esposti in alcuni dei più importanti musei al
mondo, tra cui il Victoria and Albert Museum di Londra,
lo Stedelijk Museum di Amsterdam e il MoMa di New York.
Bertjan Pot was born in 1975 in Nieuwleusen,
Netherlands. In 2003 he founded his studio, headquartered
at Schiedam. His work by and large focuses on the creation
of furniture and furnishing accessories. His experimentation
and research with materials, technologies, and weaves
almost always constitute a point of departure for
individual projects. The result of this approach is a range
of products for interiors that display a fascination
with techniques, structure, motifs, and colors. His work
has been shown in some of the world’s most prestigious
museums, including London’s Victoria and Albert Museum,
Amsterdam’s Stedelijk Museum, and New York’s MoMa.
