Biography
Based in Paris in the 8th arrondissement,
Jacquemus has now grown into a 250 employ-
ees independent fashion house, well known
for its fast growing digital presence and its
worldwide business spread. Opened in 2022,
the first flagship of the brand is located 58, Ave-
nue Montaigne in Paris.
Jacquemus was founded by Simon Porte
Jacquemus, in 2009 in Paris. Simon was born
in 1990, in Salon-de-Provence, South of France,
and grew up in a village called Bramejean. He
moved to Paris when he was 18 to study at a
fashion school only to quit one month later after
losing his mother. When he launched his brand
in 2009, he called it Jacquemus, her maiden
name.
His shows play out with artistic escapism and a
breezy air of seduction. Over 14 years, the Jac-
quemus story has followed a steady trajectory.
Beginning with the naïveté and graphism of his
initial collections, to a more mature, naturalis-
tic representation, the woman he envisions has
evolved as a self-assured and resolutely femi-
nine figure.

sione a livello mondiale. Aperto nel 2022, il pri-

Il marchio Jacquemus è stato fondato da
Simon Porte Jacquemus nel 2009, a Parigi.
Simon nasce nel 1990 a Salon-de-Provence,
nel sud della Francia, e cresce nel villaggio di
Bramejean. A 18 anni si trasferisce a Parigi per
studiare moda ma lascia la scuola un mese più
tardi, alla morte della madre. Quando lancia il
suo marchio, nel 2009, lo chiama Jacquemus, in
omaggio al suo cognome da nubile.
Le sue sfilate portano un senso di eva-
sione e una ventata di seduzione. La storia di
Jacquemus ha seguito un percorso lineare nel
corso degli ultimi 14 anni. Dallo stile naïf e
grafico delle prime collezioni fino a una raffig-
urazione più matura e naturalistica, la donna di
Jacquemus è oggi sicura di sé e al contempo de-
cisamente femminile.
