Paola Navone
EN Deanna Comellini is an artist and designer. For more than
forty years she has experimented with blending artisan knowledge
and industrial design, working initially on product design and
subsequently on textile design, developing the idea of "imperfect
design," a philosophy that transcends time, marked by the search
for and enhancement of imperfections, to celebrate authenticity.
In the 1990s she focused her attention on contemporary rugs and
natural materials, innovating the industry with a new concept
of textiles for interior design. She has participated in prestigious
international exhibitions and collaborated with important figures
in contemporary architecture. In 2022, she was selected by Forbes
as one of the 100 most influential women in Italy.
EN An architect, product designer, interior decorator and art
director, Paola Navone is a dreamer and an eclectic soul.
Her creativity combines flavours and colours of the global South
with the tastes and forms of the West, rich in tradition, open
and continuously in movement. This mix produces an untiring
curiosity for matters and materials, forms and structures, all while
bringing together present, past and future. Paola Navone has
worked and still works with some of the most important
companies of the international and Italian design world.
She has won many prizes, such as the Osaka International
Design Award, Designer of the Year, Elle Deco International
Design Award. In 2014, she earned herself a spot in Interior
Design Magazine’s prestigious Hall of Fame.
IT Deanna Comellini è artista e designer. Per oltre quarant’anni ha
sperimentato l’incontro tra sapere artigiano e progettazione industriale,
lavorando prima sul design del prodotto e poi sul design tessile, e
sviluppando l’idea di “imperfect design”, una filosofia che trascende
il tempo, improntata alla ricerca e valorizzazione delle imperfezioni
per celebrare l’autenticità. Negli anni Novanta si è focalizzata sul
concetto di tappeto contemporaneo e sui materiali naturali, innovando
il settore con una nuova concezione del tessile per l’interior design.
Ha partecipato a prestigiose mostre internazionali e collaborato con
importanti figure dell’architettura contemporanea. Nel 2022, è stata
selezionata da Forbes tra le 100 donne più influenti d’Italia.
IT Architetto, product designer, interior decorator e art director,
Paola Navone è una sognatrice e un'anima eclettica. La sua creatività
combina sapori e colori del Sud del mondo a gusti e forme di un
Occidente ricco di tradizioni, aperto e in continuo movimento.
Da questo mix ha origine un'instancabile curiosità per i materiali,
le forme e le strutture, che fonde presente, passato e futuro.
Paola Navone ha collaborato e collabora con alcune delle più
importanti aziende del mondo del design internazionale e italiano.
Ha vinto numerosi premi, come l'Osaka International Design Award,
Designer of the Year, Elle Deco International Design Awards e
nel 2014 si è guadagnata un posto nella prestigiosa Hall of Fame
dell'Interior Design Magazine.
