ack for the fourth year, “Christmas of Artist”,
an initiative started in 2010 with the great
exhibition of Marco Lodola, who invaded
various areas of Montecatini with his luminous works.
The event is growing up over time , thanks to the
creation of MCTERME and MO.CA , the two civic
galleries that have attracted artists, critics, curators and
experts in contemporary art in town.
This year the Town Council will organize three
shows.
The first one is “ Viva Verdi “, at MO.C.A. with the
exhibition of paintings and sculptures by international
artists honoring the Master and his works and the
presence of objects belonged to Verdi, with an unusual
instrument created by himself.
The second one is “I love London / I love Montecatini “,
at MCTERME , where British urban art stars dialogue
with young local artists .
Finally, this great show of Paolo Staccioli at Tettuccio,
the worldwide temple of spas.
A beautiful exhibition of large sculptures, organized
after the ones set up in the streets of Pietrasanta in
2012, and in Vicenza during last spring .
And it is with great pleasure that the Administration
receives the Tuscan artist .
We would like to thank him, the curator Bruno Baglivo
and Mirabili Arte d’Abitare, the Società Terme, which
granted the space, and all the sponsors who made
possible the realization of this cultural event.

IL PRIMATO DELLA STORIA

orna per il quarto anno “Natale d’artista”, un’ini-
ziativa partita nel 2010 con la grande mostra di
Marco Lodola che invase varie zone di Montecati-
ni con le sue opere luminose.
La manifestazione è cresciuta nel tempo, grazie anche alla na-
scita del MCTERME e del MO.C.A, le due gallerie civiche che
hanno calamitato in Città l’attenzione di artisti, critici, curatori
ed esperti del settore dell’Arte Contemporanea.
Quest’anno saranno ben tre le rassegne allestite dall’Ammi-
nistrazione Comunale.
La prima è “Viva Verdi” al MO.C.A. con l’esposizione di
dipinti e sculture di artisti internazionali che rendono
omaggio al Maestro e alle sue opere e la presenza di oggetti
appartenuti a Verdi e di un inedito strumento da lui stesso
ideato.
La seconda è “I love London / I love Montecatini” al
MCTERME, dove star dell’arte urbana britannica dialoga-
no con i giovani artisti del territorio.
Infine questa grande antologica di Paolo Staccioli allo sta-
bilimento Tettuccio, il tempio del termalismo mondiale.
Una bellissima esposizione di grandi sculture, che viene al-
lestita dopo quelle realizzate nelle piazze di Pietrasanta nel
2012 e a Vicenza nella scorsa primavera.
E’ quindi con immenso piacere che come Amministrazio-
ne accogliamo l’artista toscano.
Nell’occasione ringraziamo lui, il curatore Bruno Baglivo,
la Mirabili Arte d’Abitare e la Società Terme che ha conces-
so gli spazi e tutti gli sponsor che hanno reso possibile la
realizzazione di questo evento culturale.
