Bonaldo presents a restyling of its famous Poly chair, designed by Karim Rashid in 2007 and the winner of multiple awards, including the Red Dot, Good Design and Best Design. Poly stands for “polycarbonate”, the material originally used to make the chair, which has been restyled this year and launched in the Poly XO and Poly XOXO versions: Poly XO is entirely upholstered with fabric, leather or eco-leather covers, whereas Poly XOXO envisages a two-tone upholstery where one colour can be applied to the front and another to the rear and legs. In the case of two-tone upholstery covers, the overall effect is all the more attractive and unusual.
Poly stands out for its geometric, youthful and original design. The seat and backrest are made up of several criss-crossing surfaces, and yet the chair does not appear at all "edgy" overall: indeed, it is inviting and welcoming, a styling impression that is confirmed by the comfortable seat and the warmth imbued by the new upholstered versions.
