Contrast Bed, designed by Alain Gilles, is a customisable and modern restyling of the classic fabric bed. An essential element of the bed is the significantly sized headboard, which can be "clad" with several covers and in different styles, from classic to modern, and even, why not, with an "artistic" look. Indeed, the covers complete and soften a light-weight, graphic, almost masculine frame.
Contrasting possibilities: as if the bed could have a multitude of personalities, each one in contrast with the other. The headboard is the soul of the bed: there are many different covers which can be replaced during the life span of the bed, or even in keeping with the seasons or a change in taste or mood. The bed can be accessorised with bedside tables. The frame is made of metal painted in anthracite grey, white or amaranth. The headboard is padded with polyurethane and covered with fabric or leather and it is also available in the quilted version.
