Working with Arketipo is always a collaboration. But for
the design house Ludovica + Roberto Palomba, this is a
special one where values and experience have a significant

But what does that DNA really mean when it comes to
design and execution? It’s easy to say - harder to fulfil - but
once again, Arketipo take the time to appreciate that every
collaboration is a unique one and as such, each product that
comes from these collaborations has its own story to tell.
Self Control for example, finds limits. Where design can live
and function can play; Self Control is the example we all
need to help us understand this subtle and powerful design
concept.
As a sofa it embodies technical discipline as well as design
that matches a distinctive embodiment of Arketipo. Curves,
that’s what it’s all about. Here, soft touches accentuate the
overall structure and feel; curves lift the overall design,
each done with a subtle elegance, a subtle control of
design and function. The armrests, the seating, the back
support, each are designed with purpose, each designed to
highlight that curves and straight lines have a reason and
purpose to coexist.
