Such as the Nash sofa. Another chapter in Mauro Lipparini’s
design catalogue, where a sharply angular look challenges
convention and asks us to appreciate something we all
experience but rarely pay much attention to: flow.
Nash is an assertively graphic presence, even as it never
overlooks comfort of use. Lightness and volumetric
dynamism—a body resting in balance—physically translate
a rigorous, geometric aesthetic that goes hand in hand with
an evident emotional dimension.
Assertive, geometric, light, dynamic, rigorous: these
are all words that can be used to talk about Nash, but it is
crucial to understand that it is all conceived with a unified
end in mind. The finish, the materials, the tailoring—they
all serve the greater purpose of creating a balanced and
cohesive expression.
From the flying angles of the back and armrests to the
hard lines of the precisely constructed feet, playing against
the rich volumes of the seating, Nash is a modular design
concept that brings together a set of unique elements to
yield a memorable statement with real impact.
