Ma in pochissimi sono capaci di fare \nla rivoluzione con il divano, trasformando \nun oggetto di uso quotidiano in uno strumento \nper immaginare un futuro migliore, e non sempre \nrealizzabile. A loro – artigiani sognatori, attivisti \ndel fare – è dedicata quest’edizione del Journal \nTacchini, in cui il progetto si fa linguaggio \ne le parole ancorano forme e materiali a una \nmissione che non si limita a risolvere un problema, \ndecorare un ambiente, vendere un prodotto, \nma si spinge oltre. Ricordando l’etimologia della \nparola progetto, che deriva dal latino projacere, \n“gettare avanti”, Marco Zanuso diceva che \nprogettare significa “gettare la propria creatività \nal di là della storia”. Tra una corrente e la \nsuccessiva, una tendenza passeggera e una svolta \ntecnologica, questa vocazione all’idealismo torna \nciclicamente nella pratica del design. O forse \nnon sparisce mai del tutto. Nelle pagine che \nseguono, l’utopia è un filo rosso che attraversa \ni decenni, incarnandosi ogni volta in una nuova \nforma e una nuova promessa, ma offrendoci \nsempre un motivo, una direzione, un traguardo \nda inseguire.  \nUtopia\nAnyone can start a revolution from the sofa. But only  \na few are able to start a revolution with a sofa, turning  \nan everyday object into a tool with which to imagine  \na better, and not always obtainable, future. This edition  \nof the Tacchini journal is dedicated to them – the artisan \ndreamers, the activists of doing. In it, design becomes \nlanguage and the words anchor shapes and materials \nto a mission that is not limited to solving a problem, \ndecorating a room or selling a product but goes well \nbeyond. Bearing in mind the etymology of the word \n‘project’, derived from the Latin projacere, “to thrust \nforward”, Marco Zanuso stated that to design means to \n“thrust one’s own creativity beyond the confines of \nhistory”. From one trend to the next, a fleeting fancy \nand a technological breakthrough, this commitment to \nidealism returns cyclically in the practice of design. \nOr, perhaps, it never completely goes away.
