L’obiettivo è duplice: \nminimizzare l’impatto ambientale delle \nproduzioni, dando un piccolo contributo \na contenere il riscaldamento globale; \npromuovere la diversità culturale, \nstimolando un approccio nuovo con \ngli oggetti domestici.\nReturning to the use of renewable natural \nmaterials, rediscovering forgotten \ntraditional techniques of cultivation and \nproduction, developing new uses for those \nmaterials in the design, production, and \nuse of furnishings and accessories: these \nare the paths we identified when Eres \nbegan to take shape, that is, when we \nstarted to rethink our products on a more \nequitable and conscientious foundation.\nAside from delving deeper into our \nresearch concerning the recyclability \nof the polymeric materials that we use \nin our collections, we’ve also chosen to \ninvestigate a field that is a completely \nnew one for us.\nDeveloping this new collection has \nmeant undertaking a patient process \nof research in various areas around the \nworld, in order to draw on traditional \ncrops and bodies of knowledge as well \nas farming practices, all long vanished in \nthe Western world in the aftermath of the \nwave of industrial development. We have \nthen proceeded to identify the strategic \nadvantages, discovering the true potential \nof the fibers produced in order to interpret \nand resolve them in modern terms. It neither absorbs nor releases odors, but \nreduces the chemical substances that produce them; what’s more, \nit absorbs the humidity present in the environment only to release it \nwhen it’s dry, thus maintaining a constant microclimate.
