Fast wirkt die Sitzschale wie ein eingefasster \nEdelstein. Die Aussparung im Rücken des Modells steht \nim direkten Dialog mit dem Gestell, das die Öffnung \nelegant um rahmt und den skulpturalen Ansatz des  \nEntwurfes unter streicht. Theia gibt es in zwei Versionen —  \nmit und ohne Armlehne. Je nach Stofflichkeit der Schale \nkann man die Persönlichkeit des Stuhls unterstreichen,  \nvom Ess zimmerstuhl bis hin zum Objektstuhl. Für \nHerkner soll der Stuhl aber vor allem ein Begleiter fürs \nLeben werden.\nTheia is Sebastian Herkner’s second design for  \nFreifrau. Well, at first sight. On closer \ninspection, there’s the characteristic soft wrap­around \npiping which reinforces the seam between the two back­\nrest shells, for instance. When asked what distinguishes \nhis design from other Freifrau models, designer Sebas­\ntian Herkner says it is: “A touch more elegant and less \ncasual”. And indeed sinking into Ona’s warm embrace \ndoesn’t come at the expense of maintaining good  \nposture.
