La percezione degli spazi \ne delle superfici lascia il posto ad un’analisi istantanea \ndell’oggetto, necessaria ad operare su di esso: forma, \nresistenza alla rotazione, direzione di spinta e sensazione \nal tatto. L’intensità e intimità degli stimoli restituiscono una \npercezione importante sulla qualità di esecuzione dell’intero \nprogetto.\nCome spesso accade, un elemento di dettaglio assume un \nruolo di rifinitura e caratterizzazione.\nQuattro anni fa ho voluto costruire il brand Ento \nesattamente su questo rapporto con il progetto, accostando \nun approccio estremamente concreto alla volontà di fornire \nad architetti ed interior designer strumenti di grande \nvalenza estetica e culturale.\nMa è davvero così importante la scelta di una maniglia \ndi qualità?\nImmaginiamo piuttosto di non fare alcuna scelta. Nel primo \nscenario ci ritroveremmo con delle classiche maniglie in \nfinitura ottone, dallo stile anonimo e datato, destinate a \ngraffiarsi e scolorirsi in pochi anni; con un po’ di fortuna o \naziende di porte più attente, avremo probabilmente delle \nmaniglie dal design contemporaneo, no brand, realizzate \nin lega dall’aspetto economico sia alla vista che al tatto. \nC’è poi un secondo scenario, in cui viene fatta una scelta \nconsapevole e di qualità, ma con un approccio timido, \noptando per modelli dallo stile minimalista che visivamente \nscompaiono o non aggiungono alcun sapore.\nIn ognuno di questi casi, si perde l’occasione di alzare la \nqualità percepita del progetto, di rifinirlo e caratterizzarlo \ncon un elemento comunque indispensabile ed \nesteticamente poco invasivo.\nContact with the project\nThe moment a person grasps a handle, the scale of the \narchitectural design collapses to a very small point and in a \nvery short time.\nThe perception of spaces and surfaces gives way to an \nimmediate analysis of the object, which is necessary in order \nto work on it: shape, resistance to rotation, direction of \npressure and sensation to touch. Viviamo inoltre un periodo in cui \nl’attenzione all’igiene dovuta all’emergenza sanitaria \nrischia di accelerare il distacco dalla dimensione fisica \ndelle cose: in questo scenario come si colloca un oggetto \narchetipo e quasi invariato nel tempo come la maniglia?\nIn architecture, an increasingly heterogeneous, \nmulticultural taste is becoming evident. It does not ignore \ndecoration and considers technical and aesthetic detail as \na precious resource. \nHowever, at the same time, technology accustoms us to an \nimmaterial interaction with objects, with touch interfaces \nand even domotics. We are also living in a time when \nthe focus on hygiene due to the health emergency risks \naccelerating our detachment from the physical dimension \nof things: in this scenario, how does an archetypal and \nalmost unchanged object such as the handle fit in?\nMatteo Nunziati\nCredo che passata la pandemia i rapporti umani resteranno \ngli stessi di sempre. Tutto tornerà esattamente com’era. \nFondamentalmente le persone saranno le stesse di prima. \nAvranno gli stessi desideri, le stesse ambizioni, le stesse \ndebolezze. Certamente alcuni processi già in corso verranno \naccelerati, soprattutto un contrasto maggiore tra reale \ne virtuale. Il nostro compito sarà quello di creare degli \nambienti e dei prodotti che rendano la realtà ancora più \naffascinante ed attraente per evitare di sbandare verso \nl’alienazione spinta da un uso non corretto delle tecnologie.\nPatrick Norguet\nLa maniglia è un oggetto unico e allo stesso tempo comune, \nprofondamente radicato nella nostra cultura; può raccontare \nmolto di un ambiente! Sono convinto che la maniglia rimarrà nei nostri \nprogetti di interior; la sua utilità è fuori dubbio!\nGiuseppe Bavuso\nSono convinto che nella nostra professione non si possa \nprescindere da una precisa responsabilità: ogni progetto \nrisponde a esigenze contemporanee, ma deve avere, \ncome prospettiva, il futuro. Quindi riciclabilità, risparmio \nenergetico, sostenibilità, utilizzo di materiali a basso impatto \nambientale, sono tutti criteri che considero fondamentali \nnel mio lavoro.\nPer quanto riguarda la progettazione della maniglia, sono \npartito dalle sue specificità funzionali e simboliche: la \nmaniglia è un segno grafico che interrompe la linearità \ndella superficie e segna il passaggio da un ambiente all’altro, \ned è tattile per antonomasia. Stiamo vivendo una fase, ormai \nmolto lunga, in cui ciò che ci viene negato è proprio la facilità \ndel contatto fisico: molto di ciò che realizzavamo mediante \nla presenza fisica è diventato virtuale. Il contatto fisico ci è \nmancato e viviamo questa mancanza con un senso di privazione \ne nostalgia. E per quanto consideri decisivo il contributo dato \ndalla tecnologia informatica anche all’arredamento attraverso \nla domotica, ritengo vi siano degli ambiti in cui la fisicità sia \nnecessaria.\nProgettare una maniglia, ora più che mai, per me significa creare \nun oggetto visivamente appagante che, attraverso un contatto \nfisico, mi consenta di accedere a un nuovo mondo.
