Le poltrone Gio - nelle due versioni alta e bassa- sono dedicate a
Gio Ponti, architetto e designer italiano fra i più importanti del
Novecento. L’idea nasce da una seduta rivestita in tessuto che è
“sospesa” grazie a delle gambe realizzate in legno massello. Alla seduta
è accoppiato uno schienale, nelle versioni alto o basso, con integrati i
braccioli. Questo incastro tra le gambe, la seduta e gli schienali, dalle
proporzioni studiate e dal design semplice e al contempo ricercato, è
l’elemento distintivo di queste poltrone che sono adatte sia per ambienti
residenziali che per spazi pubblici.
The Gio armchairs - in the two high and low versions - are
dedicated to Gio Ponti, one of the most important Italian
architects and designers of the 20th century.
The idea stems from a fabric-covered seat that is ‘suspended’
thanks to legs made of solid wood. The seat is coupled with a back,
in high or low versions, with integrated armrests. This interlocking
of the legs, seat and backs, with their studied proportions and
simple yet refi ned design, is the distinguishing feature of these
armchairs that are suitable for both residential and public spaces.
