Valentina Grilli is an Italian artist with a degree
in Cultural Heritage.
Her professional path was initially oriented
towards fashion, working as a textile designer
for Roberto Cavalli and Patrizia Pepe.
Then she made a career change and moved
successfully into the intimate dimension of
painting, since she started getting recognition
for her naturalistic subjects winning national
awards and holding exhibitions in Italy and
abroad.
Techniques have always represented a crucial
issue in her research by self-taught exploring
various creative possibilities, by studying the
great masters of past and present times and
by refining in particular egg tempera and dry
brush with watercolour techniques.
In addition to painting, she also illustrates for
Italian publishers and companies, as well as
teaching workshops at Raffles Milano, Institute
of Design and Fashion.
For Vismara Design company she created
boards using the monotype technique on
paper, then finalising her illustrations digitally.
