Il lattice è un’emulsione di aspetto
lattiginoso a consistenza collosa,
generalmente di colore bianco,
E non di altri colori per natura, che si
trova in determinate cellule (i laticiferi)
di numerose piante. Le migliori e più
pregiate qualità di lattice naturale si
estraggono dall’hevea brasiliensis nelle
foreste tropicali asiatiche, malesia
e sri lanka in particolare. La dizione
“schiuma di lattice” è invece utilizzata
soprattutto con finalità tecniche e
spesso utilizzata dagli addetti ai lavori:
i materassi, per esempio, si creano con
la schiuma di lattice che è il composto
primario (miscela di lattice e aria),
per cui è possibile procedere alle fasi
della vulcanizzazione per realizzare il
prodotto finito. I regolamenti comunitari
europei in merito, fanno effettivamente
riferimento alla sola “schiuma di lattice”
per indicare la totalità dei materassi in
lattice e quindi non vi è alcuna differenza
nell’impiego dei termini tra “lattice” e
“schiuma di lattice”.
È in assoluto il materiale naturale
più elastico che si conosca, possiede
straordinarie e naturali caratteristiche
anallergiche, antibatteriche, ed elasticità
fisico meccanica. Fondamentale
caratteristica è la naturale e istantanea
capacità di riassumere la forma originale
quantunque sottoposto a pressione
o allungamento. Per tale ragione
questa materia prima naturale dona
alla produzione dei materassi ergo-
anatomici qualità eccezionali quali
ricambio di aria all’interno del materasso
con la sua struttura a cella aperta, e
portanza differenziata la quale non va a
comprimere le parti del corpo favorendo
una regolare e benefica circolazione
sanguigna.
Latex is an emulsion of milky appearance
in tacky, generally white, and not of other
colors in nature, which is found in certain
cells (the lactiferous) of many plants .
The best and finest quality of natural
latex is extracted hevea brasiliensis in
the tropical forests of asia, malaysia and
sri lanka in particular. The term “ latex
foam “ is used instead especially with

the primary compound (mixture of latex
