Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi is a universal
museum in the Arab world, designed by Pritzker
Prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel. Poised
between sand and sea it is situated on the
Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi. The foundation
has been laid by an intergovernmental
agreement signed between Abu Dhabi and
France on 6th March, 2007. The development
is overseen by Abu Dhabi Tourism and
Culture Authority and developed by Tourism
Development & Investment Company.
Louvre Abu Dhabi’s values and identity are
based on discovery, exchange and education.
