The bright and luminous Tunisian sun is enhanced by
the style and craftsmanship of Soffi glass lamp, blown
by skillful Venetian artisans. Soffi lamp welcomes the
guests at the reception with its main element in blown
glass, closed by a refined Cuoio Saddle Extra leather
strap. XI suspension lamps illuminate the grand central
hall. In Chinese Xi means “morning light” but also “in
praise of wisdom”. The same wisdom that has brought to
the design of this resort, and the same morning light that
awakens the guests for a new and peaceful day in this
beautiful land closed between the Mediterranean Sea
and the desert.
Gio Ponti’s possibly most famous artwork was designed
in 1965, and it embodies some of his most important
design principles, like legs with a tapered triangular
cross-section, or the modular system comprising of a
limited number of pieces to assemble. The Dezza sofa
and armchairs have been reissued in a refined new
edition that exalts their formal beauty and unique style.
Royal Azur Hotel has used both the armchair and the
two-seater sofa versions.
