1978
Establishment of PRISMA
1983
PRISMA starts to participate to the most
important trade fairs in Milan, Paris
and Hannover with a catalogue ever wider.
1993
Establishment of the French subsidiary company
PRISMA Eclairage in Paris (now PIL France).
1996
Prisma is granted the ISO 9001 certification.
Certification of PRISMA’s laboratory by other
Certifying bodies such as UL / GOST-R / SASO /
IRAM.
1999
Establishment of PRISMA North America
in Atlanta (today PIL US).
2002
Establishment of the Operating Holding
Company PERFORMANCE iN LIGHTING.
Acquisition of PRISMA PROGETTI (SICME).
PRISMA hits the barrier of 2.000.000 units sold.
New plant with new R&D facilities, mechanical /
technical laboratory, photometric laboratory.
Opening of the company’s kindergarten
“Nidoblù”.
2003
Acquisition of SBP S.p.A. and its French
subsidiary SBP France.
2004
Establishment of PIL Nederland in Amsterdam.
Establishment of PIL Spain in Barcelona.
Establishment of PIL Portugal in Rio Tinto.

Establishment of PIL Australia in Melbourne.
Establishment of PIL UK in Birmingham.
2009
Acquisition of ED-DIS in Brussels (now PIL BE).

Acquisition of SPITTLER GmbH in Goslar
(Germany) and its subsidiary company SPITTLER
