The Hippo family is defined by soft, playful shapes that draw inspiration from the rounded forms
of 70s furniture. The series earned its moniker during the design process, when the back view
revealed similarities to a hippopotamus, giving birth to the name ‘Hippo.’ The distinctive wooden
profile serves as an almost architectural element that contrasts sharply with the rounded, soft
back and seat. Since its introduction, the series has been expanded to include the Hippo Steel
Chair and an office chair.
