nel 2018, Tape è un sistema di sedute
imbottite costituito da elementi di forma
essenziale pensati come dei mattoncini
modulari – sedute, schienali e braccioli –
da assemblare in composizioni libere
ed estremamente versatili. Il rivestimento
prevede, in presenza di cuciture,
l’utilizzo di un nastro termosaldato, una
tecnica derivata dall’industria sportiva,
in particolare nella realizzazione
di snowboard, sci e abbigliamento
waterproof. Un’ispirazione messa in
risalto anche nella presenza di una
grande tasca sul bracciolo, disponibile
anche con presa USB e caricatore
wireless con protocollo Qi.
Designed by Benjamin Hubert
in 2018, Tape is an upholstered seating
system consisting of simple lines
arranged as modular building blocks
— seats, backrests and armrests —
which can be assembled almost at will,
with a range of versatile options for
arrangement. The upholstery and seams
rely on polyurethane tape, a technique
inspired by the sporting industry,
where it is used in the construction of
snowboarding, ski and wet-weather gear.
This inspiration is further evident in the
large pocket on the armrest, which
is also available with a USB port and
Qi wireless charger.
