Bianca: I was given a bite of Salmon Katsu
and the excessive fat from the fried salmon
reminded me of the sensation I have always
associated with butterbeer.
Ilaria: There is an official recipe, used at the
Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida
and in the various theme parks, but in com-
parison to the flavor I had imagined, the offi-
cial one wasn’t very satisfying. We can try it
one day. You heat soda with a lot of sugar
and then in one part you add a mixture of
melted butter with vanilla ice cream and
whipped cream on top. I am very okay with
the fresh whipped cream. Although I do not
like that Harry destroyed his Dumbledore
wand (The Elder Wand), I understand why
he did. But I would have at least reconstruc-
ted some of the ruins of the castle, and grown
a little vegetation in the forest. I would have
used it, then destroyed it.

Rebuild the ruins, perhaps with a throw-away
stencil, for an image that expresses decay
and luxuriance. People have a need to re-
produce that image, probably because it’s re-
assuring.
The stencil is accessible to anyone, to use as
they like with no fear of error; sheets of paper
underneath for free. Things are never the
same more than once, like a waterfall, or like
time. And in fact, it is said the out of control
state so hoped for in psychedelia is for the
collective unconscious like an outpost of the
globalized market, where they use a single
digital currency.

Cybernetics drives dialectics crazy and com-
bines two scenes in the geometry of a round
carpet where staggered patterns and the sha-
dows of objects indicate the differences (a
cyberpunk fig that someone has started to
peel, two glasses). The shadow of the first is
perpendicular because seen from above (in-
side you see a fusion happen between the or-
ganic and the technological). The black spots
that the pair of glasses seems to project sug-
gests an illusory perspective, denied by the
omniscient eye watching the water within
them: the limits of a point of view in space-
time are sweetened with an answer multi-
plied by the unambiguous misery of an ana-
morphic image.
