whoseprotagonist,thelegendaryandflam-
boyantformerfishmongeroftheVucciriain
Palermohasnowbecomepartofarelevant
scriptforourItaly,recountedinimages.From
hisdebutManganosanghisstoriesandre-
vealedhisvisions,beginningwithhiscon-
stantexplorationandquestioningofthecom-
plexity around him, he worked in that
territorywhereGillesDeleuzefoundthe
‘folds’ofthereal,orrather,thefissures(and
thedeepestandmostrough)ofrealityitself.
Hebeganbydocumentingfragmentsoflife,
thosesubjectsrelegatedtothemarginsof
thesystem.
