Blocchi smussati dal taglio di una lama
immaginaria. L’ordine geometrico è rotto, travolto
a favore di un movimento, di un margine che
attraversa i perimetri. Le facce rendono evidente
la nervatura; alcune cuciture, evidenti come
imbastiture, la disegnano, altre scompaiono.
Il nome – M.A.S.S.A.S. – è l’acronimo di “Moroso
Asymmetric Sofa System Adorably Stitched”:
una scelta giocosa ma esaustiva nel descrivere
le caratteristiche formali.
Blocks blunted by the cut of an imaginary
blade. Geometrical order is broken, overwhelmed
in favor of movement, of an edge that crosses the
perimeters. Faces make the piping evident; some
seams, evident as basting, draw it, others
disappear. The name - M.A.S.S.A.S. - stands for
“Moroso Asymmetric Sofa System Adorably
Stitched”: a playful but comprehensive choice
in describing the formal characteristics.
