LOUISA — UPDATE VINCENT VAN DUYSEN
Vincent Van Duysen has designed Louisa, a set
of round and oval co"ee tables in which the
presence of both wood and cement conveys
an innovative tactile and aesthetic e"ect.

The load-bearing structure, a conical
central plinth, is raised from the floor and
inserted into a space hollowed out within
it. Transversal objects, combined at will,
simply, lightly, elegantly: the quintessence
of modern design.
•
The tops, almost like suspended trays,
can be made of ash-colored, white, or
brick-red concrete, or in eucalyptus, co"ee
oak, or the new sunrise oak veneer. They
are distinguished by an original radiating
pattern, achieved through a special slab
joining technique.
Vincent Van Duysen progetta Louisa, una
serie di tavolini tondi e ovali in cui la presenza
del legno e del cemento è dichiarata con
una percezione tattile ed estetica innovativa.

La struttura portante, un plinto centrale
conico, si solleva da terra e si innesta in
un piano scavato al suo interno.
•
I piani, quasi dei vassoi in sospensione,
possono essere in cemento colore
cenere, bianco o rosso mattone, o in
essenza eucalipto, rovere caffè o il nuovo
rovere sunrise. Si contraddistinguono
per un originale motivo raggiato,
ottenuto tramite un particolare
procedimento di giunzione delle lastre.
