Meljac is built on two main pillars: heritage and
innovation. Our team of dedicated artisans in the Paris
region manufacture and finish all Meljac products
using traditional methods and high-quality materials.
We continually invest in innovative technologies that
build on our experience and craftsmanship to create
products that are elegant, authentic, and functional.
Inspired by the elegance of 1930s design, André
Bousquet took a chance on the previously non-existent
market of design-conscious electrical hardware. He
founded Meljac — named after his hometown in the
South of France — in 1995 and designed our first
product, the Classique toggle switch. Today Meljac
continues to build on Bousquet’s vision, crafting
timeless hardware for contemporary spaces.
