La gran aventura del tren
All on board! The bell rings and the passengers on this
beautiful train get ready to start out on A grand adventure,
one of the most ambitious projects undertaken by Lladró.
Coming from its High Porcelain Workshop, this limited
edition of 500 pieces was a demanding challenge for its
artists, who spent several years developing this display of
technical and creative virtuosity. A total of 14 characters
share the same space, measuring 135 cm. long, set in the
closing decades of the 19th century.
With this monumental train, Lladró wanted to pay a fond
tribute to the golden age of the great steam trains. The piece
is outstanding for the thoroughness in every little detail,
from the profusely decorated interior of the carriages to
the costumes worn by the travelers. Everything manages to
faithfully recreate the unique scene.
The sheer magnitude of this spectacular sculpture does
not take away from the various scenes taking place in it.
Lavishly dressed ladies with beautiful hats and parasols;
elegant gentlemen with refined manners; the contentment
of the train driver and the diligence of the conductor; porters
carrying heavy luggage; enthusiastic children excited by the
prospect of a special event and even a little dog running along
the platform.
A work of such large dimensions and extreme complexity
requires a lot of work and dedication. Its 334 fragments were
decorated by expert hands who have reproduced to perfection
the typical designs of the early days of the steam train.

locomotora se disponen a emprender La gran aventura del tren.
Este es uno de los proyectos más ambiciosos en la historia de
Lladró. Surgido del Taller de Alta Porcelana, esta serie limitada de
500 ejemplares ha supuesto todo un reto para sus artistas, que han
dedicado varios años a desarrollar este alarde creativo y técnico.
Un total de 14 personajes conviven en un espacio de 135 cm. de
longitud, ambientado en las últimas décadas del siglo XIX.
Con este monumental tren, Lladró ha querido rendir un cariñoso
homenaje a la época dorada de las grandes locomotoras de vapor.
Esta obra destaca por la minuciosidad con la que han sido tratados
todos y cada uno de los detalles: desde el interior de los vagones,
profusamente decorados, hasta el vestuario de los viajeros, todo en
ella consigue recrear con autenticidad la escena que representa.
La magnitud de esta espectacular escultura no resta protagonismo
a las escenas que en ella acontecen. Señoritas ataviadas con
vistosos trajes, luciendo hermosos tocados y sombrillas de la
época; elegantes señores de educadas maneras; la satisfacción del
conductor y la diligencia del ferroviario; mozos transportando
las pesadas maletas; niños con el habitual entusiasmo ante un
acontecimiento especial e incluso una mascota correteando por
el andén.
Una obra de tan grandes dimensiones y extremada complejidad
requiere mucho trabajo y dedicación. Sus 334 fragmentos han
sido ornamentados por manos expertas que han reproducido a la
perfección los motivos típicos de aquella primera época pionera de
los trenes de vapor.
