L’obiettivo iniziale per la realizzazione di
CottoMilano era la riproduzione ceramica in gres
porcellanato di un cotto prodotto in fornace, ma
adatto ai grandi formati del design contemporaneo.
Innovative applicazioni materiche hanno conferito
al prodotto tridimensionalità, ottenendo una
superficie opaca, poco riflettente, morbida al
tatto, ma conforme agli standard prestazionali
del gres.
The initial aim of CottoMilano was to offer
a porcelain stoneware version of kiln-fired
terracotta suitable for the large sizes requested
by contemporary design. Innovative material
applications have given the product a three-
dimensional character, with a matt, non-reflective
surface that is soft to the touch, though offering
the performance standards of stoneware.
