Thoughtfully designing the world one object at a time, Karim
Rashid has over 4.000 works in production. Karim received
a Bachelor of Industrial Design and then pursued graduate
studies in Naples, Italy, with Ettore Sottsass. He later worked
professionally at the Rodolfo Bonetto Studio in Milan.
In 1992 he opened a private studio in New York City focusing
on industrial and interior design. He designed the original
Blob family of indoor and outdoor lamps.
Karim Rashid
Prospero Rasulo
Artist and designer, after attending the Brera Academy
of Fine Arts, he worked in the fi elds of stage design,
painting, sculpture and exhibition outfi tting. During the
same years, he began collaborating with the Alchimia
studio and Alessandro Mendini, alternating his work as
a designer with that of promoter of cultural initiatives.
In addition to working with industries, he exhibits his
works in various art and design galleries. He designed the
Alcea, Stilla and Qua glass wall lamps.
Marc Sadler
A graduate of ENSAD in Paris, he pioneered the
experimentation with materials and the cross-contamina-
tion between different technologies, which became
distinguishing features of his work. He has won four
Compasso d’Oro awards, including the one for Mite and
Tite in 2011, which have become genuine icons, together
with Twiggy and Tress, each one marked by technologi-
cal and styling innovation. He also designed the
expansion of the Mite family with Giga-Lite, Mega-Kite,
Lite and, again through his experimentation with new
materials, he designed the Jamaica suspension lamp, the
See You wall lamp and the latest Nuée suspension lamp.

Studio Baruffi & De Santi
In the early 70s, Maurizio Baruffi and Roberto
De Santi founded a studio in Venice – currently
represented by De Santi – which provides consultancy
and design services for architecture, for the furnishing
of shops, offi ces and showrooms, for industrial design
and for visual design. Their partnership with Foscarini
resulted in the Wave suspension lamp.
He started off at a very young age as a car stylist at DeTomaso
Group and Maserati. He then shifted his focus to the visual arts
with works blending art and design exhibited at important
events. In 1984, with La Neomerce. Il design dell’invenzione e
dell’estasi artificiale at the Triennale in Milan, he became an
international touchstone for a new performative, techno-poetic,
spectacular and ironic design. He has been involved in design
and digital manufacturing since 2005. He published Download
Design (2018). A lecturer at the Royal College of London,
Cambridge University, and NABA, he was awarded the Honorary
Degree from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. He designed the
delightful Elfo table lamp.

Studio Kairos
Founded in 1980 by Massimo Bonetti, Giuseppe Manente
and Abramo Mion, the studio is currently represented by the
latter two. Alongside the works in the building industry and
in interior design, they focus on design and product
development in the fi eld of furniture design.
They designed the Yet wall lamp with storage shelf.
