An architect who focuses on projects in architecture,
industrial, graphic, exhibition design, art direction and
interior design. After graduating in architecture from
Politecnico di Milano, he founded Lissoni & Partners, with
offi ces in Milan and New York; he is the art director of
numerous companies who particularly do business in the
fi eld of furniture, for whom he designs not only objects but
frequently also the corporate identity. He has received
numerous awards and acknowledgements throughout his
career. In the 90s he designed the Basic, Cap, Flat and
Bugia models.
Francesco Lucchese

Lucidi Pevere
A Sicilian, he graduated in architecture from Politecnico di
Milano and founded Lucchese design, focusing on graphic
design and on organising exhibitions and events. His
architectural activities come in the form of signifi cant
projects such as hotels, public premises, entertainment
venues and showrooms. He concurrently teaches at
Politecnico di Milano in the Faculty of Design. He designed
the Mix glass suspension lamp.
Having graduated and trained in Milan, they began to
develop their fi rst projects together in 2006 when they
founded the Lucidi Pevere studio, engaged in creating
new types of products, researching new materials and
technologies catering to various sectors, including
furniture, lighting, objects, bathrooms. They designed
Falena, Arumi, the Aplomb family made with an
exclusive cement paste; the Bahia and Lake wall lamps,
both with an organic and asymmetric shape.

About shedding light
A graduate from ENSCI-Les Ateliers (the French National
School of Industrial Design in Paris), he opened the
Jean-Marie Massaud studio in 2000 in order to extend his
design activity to architecture, pursuing his personal
search for synthesis, smartness, lightness and
timelessness. He works in all fi elds of design regardless of
scale and industry: from furniture, to transport, to
concepts and products while contributing to well-known
brands development. He designed the Lightwing fl oor lamp
and the Solar indoor and outdoor table lamp.

Jean-Marie Massaud
She was born in Venice and has lived and worked in
New York for years, where she began to design her
fi rst light experiments which led her to the deployment
of installations, one-off or standard pieces for galleries,
private collections and companies. In 2003, she
designed the Ellepi wall and ceiling lamp.
A trained engineer, he is one of the leading exponents of
Italian design. One of his fi rst assignments, in the early
70s, was as technical director for Kartell. The undisputed
master of light, he designs for various Italian and
international brands. He has taught industrial technologies
at the Domus Academy, Politecnico di Milano and Iuav in
Venice, speaking at numerous conferences and seminars
across Europe, Japan and the United States. He designed
the Chiaroscura fl oor lamp together with his son
Francesco.
