ses on lighting projects, architecture and interior design,
creating a new decorative language that incorporates all
the multicultural complexity presented by the diversity and
contradictions of the modern world. After working a few
years in China, he moved to London where he has worked
since the late 90s. He devised the Venice collection and
the Nostromo system.

Multi-disciplinary design studio based in Venice founded
by Renato Montagner. The fi rm works in industrial,
interiors, trade, retail as well as in fashion design.
Changing rules and combining design experiences from
different fi elds has enabled Change Design to explore new
scenarios and create a new market for innovative
products. They designed Planet, the suspension lamp
made from high-tech, innovative fabric.
An architect and designer, he has been one of the
founders of Sottsass Associati and one of the leading
exponents of the Memphis group. In 1989, he founded
the Cibicworkshop which, in addition to carrying out
architecture and interior design projects in Italy and
abroad, also focuses on industrial design, experimen-
ting with the production of his own designs as well as
partnering up with various companies. He expressed
his approach to glass in the Cocò table lamps and in
the Lampoon family.

About shedding light
The Garcia Cumini Associati studio was established in
Udine (Italy) in 2012 by Vicente Garcia Jimenez and Cinzia
Cumini, bringing together their consolidated experience
in the design, products and communication fi elds.
They range from product design to installation set-up and
art direction. They designed the Spokes project, lamps
with a graphic and luminous effect in slim metal spokes.
Vicente Garcia Jimenez alone designed the Fields wall
lamp model and the Le Soleil lamps, and joined forces with
Enrico Franzolini to design the Big Bang suspension lamp.

Visual communication, graphic design, corporate
identity, art direction: these are the spheres of activity
of Artemio Croatto and his studio Designwork, which
was established in Udine in 2002. Its clients include
some of the leading brands in Italian and international
design, famous publishing houses and major cultural
institutions. In 2010, the close partnership with Foscarini
led him to contribute to the creation of the publishing
project “Inventario”, which he is the art director of.
This project won the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award
in 2014. He designed the Tosca blown glass and metal
table lamp with Roberto Barazzuol.
The contemporary prototype of a cosmopolitan, self-taught
designer, mid-way between manager, craftsman and
inventor; he is passionate about the decorative potential
of materials and craft-based processes, and is currently one
of the most famous designers with his London-based brand.
In the mid 90s, he created the Lightweight collection,
combining coloured metal and blown glass in a suspended
installation.
