Il progetto della sedia First Steps Outdoor è chiaramente riconducibile
alla filosofia progettuale di Christophe Pillet, il quale dichiara: “Non sono
alla ricerca dello straordinario, bensì di ciò che è bello e in grado di
suscitare emozione dentro l’ordinario”.
Questa ricercar appassionata dell’essenza delle cose si manifesta
appieno anche nel progetto della sedia First Steps Outdoor, che nella sua
poetica semplicità sembra ricondurre all’archetipo dell’oggetto-sedia.
La sinuosa struttura che sale a formare lo schienale è in acciaio inox
verniciato a polvere epossidica in una gamma di raffinati colori, mentre
il fitto intreccio della seduta è in cordoncino di polipropilene opaco nei
colori naturale, ghiaccio, paglia ed antracite ed è interamente realizzato
a mano.
Medesimo disegno e materiali per lo sgabello, la cui presenza gentile gli
conferisce una notevole versatilità e gli consente di inserirsi con garbo e
discrezione nei contesti più diversi.
The aesthetic of the First Steps Outdoor chair clearly reveals the design
philosophy of Christophe Pillet, who explains: “I am not on a quest for
the extraordinary, but rather for that which is beautiful and able to kindle
emotion in the ordinary”.
This impassioned exploration of the essence of things is also fully
developed in the design of the First Steps chair whose lyric simplicity
seems to trace back to the archetypal object-chair.
The sinuous structure that rises to form the metal backrest has a painted
white or burnished finish, while the tightly woven seat material is entirely
hand-made in either paper cord or paper rush cord.
The same design and materials appear in the bar stool, whose refined
appearance translates to undeniable versatility, making it a tasteful and
discreet fit in any setting.
