EN The production process brings together

advanced technologies and the meticulous

At every stage, from the choice of raw ma-
terials to chemical, mechanical and manual
treatments, De Castelli allows the material
to express its true essence, respecting its
character and identity.
Beyond the daily challenges of refining its
craft and continuously acquiring know-how
through experience, the company now em-
braces a new pursuit inspired by the work
of Evelina Antuono: translating the gesture
of weaving into the language of metal while
preserving the sensitivity and lightness
intrinsic to textiles.
San Leucio stands as a key reference point
for understanding the more profound sig-
nificance of this research. In the 18th centu-
ry, under the visionary leadership of Queen
of Naples Maria Carolina of Habsburg-Lore-
na, San Leucio became a centre of manu-
facturing excellence – a social and industrial
laboratory where art and industry merged
in perfect harmony. This legacy, rooted in a
strong work ethic and the pursuit of beauty,
serves as the inspiration for the current
project. With her creative contribution,
Evelina Antuono becomes part of this cul-
tural framework, tasked with reinterpreting
the art of weaving through a contemporary
lens. She combines her vision with the
technical skills of De Castelli, a custodian of
tradition built on experimentation, masterful
craftsmanship and innovative ambition.
IT Il processo produttivo vede così l’incontro
di geografie, competenze e sensibilità
diverse, riunite sotto la lente della precisione
delle tecnologie più avanzate e l’attento
e sapiente occhio dei maestri artigiani della
famiglia De Castelli. In ogni fase, dalla scelta
delle materie prime fino ai trattamenti
chimici, meccanici e manuali, De Castelli
consente alla materia di esprimere la sua
vera essenza, rispettandone il carattere
e l’identità.
Alle sfide quotidiane, affrontate dall’azienda
acquisendo di esperienza in esperienza un
know-how che consente di produrre pezzi
curati nei minimi dettagli, oggi si aggiunge
la necessità, con il riferimento al lavoro di
Evelina Antuono, di tradurre il gesto della
tessitura nel linguaggio del metallo, man-
tenendo intatta la sensibilità e la leggerezza
proprie del mondo tessile.

d'Asburgo-Lorena, San Leucio divenne

lavoro e di ricerca della bellezza, costituisce
il terreno da cui trae ispirazione l’attuale pro-
getto. Evelina Antuono, con il suo contributo
creativo, si inserisce in questo quadro
culturale con il compito di reinterpretare,
in chiave moderna, le regole della tessitura,
unendo la sua visione alle sapienti tecniche
di De Castelli, custode di una tradizione
fatta di sperimentazione, alto artigianato
e ambizione innovativa.
