Botero, a large side table, embodies refined technical
expertise in its details and aesthetics. The artisanal
technique used to create its rounded surface has
been recovered and re-interpreted by De Castelli,
transforming this sculptural object into the quintessence
of complexity and formal sophistication. The central
opening offers glimpses of a curved, soft shape
rendered solid by the masterful work executed to weld
the top and the legs to the central element.
L’estetica di Botero, generoso tavolino, cela in
dettaglio una raffinata expertise tecnica. La bombatura,
tecnica artigianale recuperata e re-interpretata da
De Castelli, trova in questo oggetto scultoreo l’apice
della complessità e il suo esito formale più sofisticato.
Il foro centrale permette di leggere le curvature
di un volume morbido e reso solidale dalla magistrale
saldatura che lega il top e le gambe al corpo centrale.
