A modular system with a solid yet dynamic appearance,
halfway between rigour and randomness. Starting out
from four rectangular formats, each characterised by
a differently-sized rectangle with an eroded pattern
within it, Cipher creates surfaces of great complexity
and detail by employing a very simple code based
on a minimum number of elements. The relationship
between order and randomness can be observed across
the entire product range: both in the micro, where each
module has a unique, constantly varying finishing, and
in the macro, where the random repetition of the elements
occurs within a precise grid with staggered lines.
Un sistema modulare dall’aspetto solido e al tempo
stesso dinamico, a metà tra rigore e casualità. A partire
da quattro formati rettangolari, ognuno dei quali
caratterizzato da un rettangolo di diversa dimensione
eroso al suo interno, Cipher crea superfici di elevata
complessità e dettaglio grazie a un codice molto
semplice basato su un numero minimo di elementi.
Il rapporto tra ordine e caso è presente trasversalmente
nel prodotto: sia nel micro, dove ogni modulo ha una
finitura unica mai uguale a sé stessa, sia nel macro, dove
la ripetizione casuale avviene in realtà all’interno di una
griglia precisa a linee sfalsate.
