Come nasce Torino? \nLa storia della lampada “Torino” ha le radici in Giappone e il cuore, come il mio, proprio a Torino, in Italia. \nLa base tecnica parte dal Giappone, con l’obiettivo di creare una lampada da studio che potesse soddisfare vari \nutilizzi e contesti, compatibile con un grande studio di architettura, ma anche in casa, come accessorio in uno \nspazio aperto o come lampada da scrivania.\nQuale è stata l’ispirazione che ti ha condotto ad omaggiare la lampada alla città che hai scelto e ti ha accolto?\nL’ispirazione estetica risiede proprio nel centro di Torino, in particolare in Piazza Vittorio Veneto. Qui si concentrano \nstrade ortogonali tra loro, dalle linee semplici e dalle decorazioni austere, e che culminano oltre il Po, nello stile \nadrianeo della Gran Madre, razionale nel suo equilibrio tra simmetrie ed asimmetrie. Stilnovo è stata il ponte che ha \nconiugato la mia storia estetica con quella tecnica, permettendo a Torino di venire alla luce.\nEN Let’s take a step back to the origins of the project. How did Torino come to be?? \nThe story of the ‘Torino’ lamp has its roots in Japan and its heart – just like mine \n– in Turin, Italy. The technical foundation comes from Japan, with the goal of \ncreating a studio lamp that could meet various uses and settings, suitable for a \nlarge architecture studio or even at home, as an accessory in an open space or as \na desk lamp.\nWhat inspired you to dedicate the lamp to the city that you chose and that welcomed you?\nThe aesthetic and stylistic inspiration comes from the historical centre of Turin, \nin particular Piazza Vittorio Veneto. Here, streets are orthogonally aligned, with \nsimple lines and austere decorations, and culminate beyond the Po river, in the \nNeoclassic style of the Gran Madre, rational in its balance of symmetries and \nasymmetries.
