Tale sintassi di stampo moderno, \nsemplificata da elementi che guardano al \nmoderno come la presa maniglia o la gola, \napplicate ad elementi appartenenti alla \ncultura rurale come l’anta dogata lascia-\nno tracce di un sapore antico all’interno di \nun involucro spaziale moderno.\nIndulging a longstanding desire to work \nwith wood while designing pieces that re-\nconcile distinctly traditional features with \nthe clean lines favoured by modern tren-\nds is no small feat, but Scandola intends \nto rise to the challenge with its new Ma-\nestrale line. Materials that can be termed \ntraditional, such as brushed spruce, are \nskilfully teamed with others of a more \ncontemporary nature, like eco-concrete. \nAt the same time, the severity of the con-\ntemporary language is softened by ele-\nments that give a nod to tradition, such \nas the panel doors or the posts that pun-\nctuate the run of doors: features that \nhark back to a traditional style but are \npared back and stripped of frills.
