Pour cela, il \nrachète un atelier de traitement de surface \net fait construire une usine sur mesure.\nEn 2015, il s’entoure d’un Directeur Général \npour gérer la croissance, élargir le rayonne-\nment de MELJAC à l’international et assurer \nsa pérennité. Pendant quatre ans d’étroite \ncollaboration avec Jean-Michel LAGARDE, \nil lui transmet son amour du produit et \nl’envie de continuer l’histoire, avant de \ndécéder prématurément.\nLa passion d’André BOUSQUET et ses \nvaleurs humaines restent encore au cœur \nde l’entreprise. \nLa marque est aujourd’hui vendue dans 60 \npays et s’appuie sur un réseau de reven-\ndeurs agréés.\nAndré Bousquet, born in a small village in \nAveyron, decided to leave his home region \nand head to Paris to set up an electrical \ncompany. At a time when plastic was all the \nrage, he was unable to find any electrical \nfittings that were stylish enough to add a \nquality finish to his projects. \nSo in 1995, he started producing his own \nluxury brass switches and sockets. He set \nup his new company in France’s capital, \nwhich by that time had captured his heart, \nbut named it MELJAC after his home village.\nInspired by the art de vivre of the 1930s, \nhe sought to blend functionality and \nstyle, drawing on the traditional French \nknow-how to which he was passionately \ncommitted.\nYear on year, the success of his models in \nFrance and abroad gave him the opportu-\nnity to invest in state-of-the-art equipment \nand develop expertise in all stages of the \nproduction process. He bought a surface \ntreatment plant, then had a customised \nplant built to meet the company’s produc-\ntion needs.\nIn 2015, he hired a Managing Director to \noversee MELJAC’s growth, expand its inter-\nnational reach and safeguard its future. \nOver a four-year period, André Bousquet \nworked closely with Jean-Michel Lagarde, \nsharing his love for the product and his \neagerness to continue
