Da fabbrica integrata, al cui interno sviluppa \nla lavorazione del legno massello, i pannelli, le imbottiture fino alle laccature, arriva \npoi il momento della tecnologia e in ogni reparto vengono inseriti nuovi macchinari. \nParallelamente arriva anche la decisione di uscire dal piccolo mondo della Brianza \ned aprirsi al mondo con la curiosità di chi sa fare, ma anche di chi vuole esplorare \ned imporre cose nuove per poi fonderle nella propria azienda: inizia così \nl’internazionalizzazione e le collaborazioni con i grandi department store americani.\nNegli anni ’80 incominciano i primi incontri con il mondo del design di avanguardia e \nla collaborazione con Aldo Cibic, da cui è nata la collezione “Antologia”, cresciuta negli \nanni e talmente caratterizzante che il nome “Antologia” è quasi inscindibile dal \nmarchio aziendale. Contemporaneamente c’è stato l’incontro con Giorgio Pulici, \nconsulente d’immagine per importanti aziende nel campo della moda, che si è rivolto \na Fratelli Boffi inizialmente per creazioni su disegno di particolari displayer, \nscenografie legate a stand e sfilate e a spazi espositivi in genere. In 1953 the second generation Federico, Roberto and \nMichele started working, and in 1968 the new plant in Lentate was constructed.\nFrom integrated factory, in which the production of the solid wood, the panels, \nthe paddings up to the lacquering expanded, came thereafter the time of technology \nand in every department new machines were integrated. At the same time, came \nthe decision to exit from the small world of Brianza and open up to the world \nwith the curiosity of who knows how to, but also of who wants to explore and \nimpose new things for merging them in their own business: thus begins the \ninternationalization and partnerships with the great American department stores.\nIn the 80s began the first encounter with the world of avant-garde design and \ncollaboration with Aldo Cibic, which gave birth to the collection “Antologia”, which \nhas grown over the years and has become so distinctive that the name “Antologia” is \nalmost inseparable with the corporate brand. In fact, as in Proust’s book, \nmemory is the way for us to evolve through \nrecollection and art. In the attempt of combining \nthese two elements whose common feature is \nFratelli Boffi’s craftsmanship and woodworking \ntradition, with the cupboard Gothik-A \nI exaggerated the stylistic features of Gothic style \nmerging them, distorting them, manipulating them \nto create a cage, a wooden cobweb, including a glass \ncontainer. In the piece D\u002FVision, the decomposition or \neven division of a typical 50s buffet into different \nlevels outlines its profile, making it an unexpected and \nsurprising item, while still displaying its original shape. \nJust like the taste of Madeleines which, as Proust \nstated, brings back childhood memories even after \nmany years, the collection ‘La Recherche’ recalls \nthe archetype of both pieces of furniture, however, \nwithout the typical nostalgia or mannerism of classic \nfurniture but with an eye on future design, \ncontemporary interior decorations, through the \nincomparable quality of artisan
